Robin Gibb supports Blue for Eurovision this year
March 3, 2011, Robin Gibb met Blue to give support to their Eurovision entry for the UK.
All the members of Blue are huge fans of Robin and the Bee Gees. They also know Robin well; In particualr, Duncan James has worked with Robin for Outward Bound charity.
So Blue asked Robin to mentor them in Dusseldorf for the Eurovision final in May. There is also a plan for them to cover a Gibb-penned track, possibly "Our Love (Don’t Throw It All Away)." At this point it is not yet definite whether Robin himself will be going to Eurovision. So watch this space. A BBC show featuring the March 3rd of the recording is to be broadcast on April 16.
Later in the evening, Robin was also a personal guest of his friend and former London mayor Ken Livingstone for his fundraising dinner in London.
