The Mirror reports: Robin Gibb says he’s in remission!

After his stage appearance with The Soldiers in mid-February, the news of Robin’s hospitalization has been worrying the fans. However, with less than a month until the release of "Titanice Requiem" (which, as we reported earlier, has now been pushed back to March 26), the British press now reports some good news about Robin’s health conditions.
According to The Mirror (Online version dated March 4, 2012）, Robin who has been fighting colon and liver cancer has been told by his doctors that he is now in remission.
Reportedly, Robin can’t wait to go back to work to fulfill his commitments. One of the plans is to fly to the U.S.A. to appear in Pierce Morgan talk show on April 17, on the 100th anniversary of the Titanic’s scheduled arrival in New York.
Robin was hospitalized due to a condition unrelated to cancer, and The Mirror includes the following comment by a source close to Robin.
The events of the last week have shown us all that cancer can attack in many ways. (…) But it hasn’t taken away from the great news from the doctors. There will be difficult times ahead but Robin’s remarkable positivity along with his response to the treatment is very encouraging and has thrilled everyone. (…) They were the dark days up until Christmas and you could have never seen where we are now. Every day was bad news, whereas now, we are getting good news.
Robin himself is quoted as saying:
I am beating cancer and I can’t wait to carry on with my work. (…) My work means everything to me and keeps me going. I want everyone, all my fans, to know I am ok… their love helps me so much.
The Mirror’s source said: “Getting on a plane to anywhere, let alone New York, would not have happened a few months ago. Doctors wouldn’t let him. His focus has been to get back in shape and this project has driven him on.”
So, there will be interviews and appearances in support of "Titanic Requiem" in the coming weeks. It certainly is a very happy news, but we also hope that Robin doesn’t push himself!
