Barry Gibb to headline Hard Rock concert on March 26
According to the final press release which arrived from Barry’s management this morning, Barry Gibb will headline a star-studded event on March 26 as part of the centennial celebration for the city of Miami Beach, Florida.
The press release from Miami Beach states that Barry, along with Andrea Bocelli, will headline:
a great list of artists also starring Gloria Estefan for Hard Rock RISING – Miami Beach 2015 concert on Thursday, March 26. … There will also be a limited number of premium tickets for sale. Pre-sale ticketing for Miami Beach residents and sponsors for all Miami Beach official centennial events will begin on Tuesday, February 24. Miami Beach, FL – Global superstars Andrea Bocelli and Barry Gibb will headline a great list of artists also starring Gloria Estefan for Hard Rock RISING – Miami Beach 2015 concert on Thursday, March 26. The City of Miami Beach is marking its 100th anniversary with a centennial weeklong celebration that culminates with an iconic music festival. Sponsored by Hard Rock International, The Seminole Tribe of Florida and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Fla., the all-day oceanfront music festival is located on the sand at Eighth Street and Ocean Drive.
Starring some of the most beloved and acclaimed performers in the world, headliners of Hard Rock RISING – Miami Beach 2015 will be joined by artists whose work has contributed to Miami Beach’s cultural tapestry. They include official DJ of the Miami Heat, DJ Irie; English guitarist and singer songwriter Dave Mason; Grammy award-winning musician Jon Secada; Jamaican reggae and hip-hop artist Ky-Mani Marley; jazz flautist Nestor Torres; Miami Beach jazz vocalist Nicole Henry; and Jamaican reggae band Third World; — all under the musical direction of multi Grammy award-winning producer Rudy Perez. Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records and major contributor to Miami Beach’s music scene, will be honored at the event. Other international stars and celebrities will soon be announced.

Other featured performers at Hard Rock RISING – Miami Beach 2015 concert include Afrobeta, Astra, Betty Wright, Cabas, Fantine, Javi Garcia, Kevens, Mariana Vega, Marlow Rosado, Raquel Sofia, Tavo Botero, Terrell Carter, The Beethose Band, Tree House Band, amongst many others still being confirmed.
Gates open on Thursday, March 26 at noon for an afternoon beach party, with the temporary amphitheater opening at 5p.m. for the evening’s performances.

In addition to Hard Rock Rising Miami Beach, festivities include a fashion runway, a concourse car show, an astrophysical concert, beachside wedding for 100 couples, a naturalization ceremony for 100 new U.S. citizens, a world-class CAA tennis exhibition, and more.
The events are free and open to the public. Miami Beach residents will have a special reserved section at the concert. There will also be a limited number of premium tickets for sale.
