Barry Gibb will do a live interview at MTSU and appear at Opry Goes Pink with Kelly Lang
According to Middle Tennessee 89.5FM radio station, Barry Gibb will be in Tennessee next week.
Barry is reportedly making a guest appearance at Record Industry Management program at MIddle Tennessee State University on Monday October 28, 2013. John Merchant who has been touring with Barry as a sound engineer is an assistant professor of MTSU and has invited Barry to the campus.
Barry will do a live interview in front of an audience, which, according to John Merchant, "is something he’s never done before. The event is free and open to the public. Barry will not only be taking questions but also be performing, accompanied only by a guitarist and keyboardist. So it looks like it’s going to be a very rare occasion for fans, indeed.
The interview and performance will take place from 19:00 on the MTSU campus. It is a small venue with the capacity of about 1,000 people, so the fans are encouraged to secure their seats quickly.
Reportedly, while in Tennessee, Barry will also appear at Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Old Opry. According to the notice via Kelly Lang’s website, since October is the Pink Ribbon (Fight Breast Cancer) month, Barry will perform with Lang, who is a breast cancer survivor, during the "Opry Goes Pink" event which will take place on Tuesday, October 29. Speaking of the Pink Ribbon campaign, we all remember how Robin also made an appearance at the Splash of Pink event held at his Oxfordshire home in autumn 2010, following his first surgery in August (see here).
During the Mythology Tourl, we have spoken to some people who have been working for Barry or Robin, and they all agreed on one thing: Barry seems really motivated now! So it seems we have many things to look forward to.
