Official press release regarding Robin Gibb’s health
The British paper Express, etc. reported yesterday Friday 14th that Robin Gibb was taken to hospital in an emergency after suffering "severe" abdominal pains at his Oxfordshire home on 13th Thursday.
According to the Express (online version dated October 14th, 2011) , Robin was rushed by an ambulance to a specialist stomach unit. An onlooker is quoted as saying that he looked in severe pain. Robin was due to perform on 14th (British time) this year’s Poppy Appeal single "I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You" with the Soldiers in Colchester for the BBC’s Song of Praise concert. It now hangs in balance.
A press release is now made available on Robin’s official website. It reports that Robin is hospitalized at the John’s Radcliff Hospital (see the photograph on Mail Online) and is undergoing tests and getting treated for the colon inflammation. It adds:
Robin would like to thank all his friends and fans for their good wishes and sends them his love.
It also requests that since this is a difficult time for him and his family his privacy be respected.
