New “Message” single from Robin Gibb
Robin has been active below the radar during the summer months. With final deadlines, Robin and RJ have been very busy completing the compositions for their eagerly awaited "Titanic Requiem." Those lucky enough to hear it have been blown away by it.
On July 20, he recorded the lead vocals for a new version of the Bee Gees’ 1968 hit "I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You" at Air Studios in London. It is going to be the new single for the British singing trio The Soldiers.
The song featuring Robin on the lead will be released as a single from Demon Records on October 10th in United Kingdom, and will be included on The Soldiers’ new album "Message To You" slated for release on October 24th.
The Soldiers consist of three serving British Army soldiers who have recently been on tours of duty in Afghanistan! "Message To You" will be their third album following their highly successful "Coming Home" and "Letters Home" albums which both went gold.
"I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You," whose lyrics seem appropriate for soldiers serving abroad, was produced by Nick Patrick and Robin John (RJ) Gibb. Robin’s vocals are faithful to the original and he is in his top form as he revisits this classical masterpiece by the Bee Gees.
In the afternoon of August 30th, the promo video for the song was shot at Robin’s home Prebendal. TV appearances are also in the plan for promoting the song in October. So we have much to look forward to this fall!
